Sarah is available for breakfast, after school & holiday clubs as well as longer term projects & one off commissions at very reasonable costs. Clay, mixed material, painting, eco arts & many more inspirational fun workshops can be designed to suit. Qualified Bronze Arts award advisor.

2017

OAK MEADOW PRIMARY SCHOOL, WOLVERHAMPTON, WEST MIDLANDS.

A large scale piece, The tiles were hand made by children at Oak meadow, inspired by nature & there school motto. The framed work is mounted on a corner just inside the schools main entrance.

2015

LOXDALE PRIMARY SCHOOL, BILSTON, WEST MIDLANDS.

Nursery Rhyme, ceramic tiles painted & mounted.
A one day project working with year 6 student's. Part of their legacy project was to create a permanent art piece for a new foundation building at the school. 2015.

2014

ST MARY'S C OF E VC PRIMARY SCHOOL, KINGSWINFORD, WEST MIDLANDS.

Wildlife in the Shree Hindu Mandal School Garden. The animals were designed & painted by the children at Thursday's art club, inspired by Tinga Tinga tales & live permanently outdoors.

2012

ST MARY'S C OF E VC PRIMARY SCHOOL, KINGSWINFORD, WEST MIDLANDS.

Diamond Jubilee Garden.
Designed & created by all the children at the school to celebrate the Queens Diamond Jubilee whilst renovating the schools nature garden in a fun & nature friendly way. The artworks include a large handmade ceramic table, ceramic faces for the trees, ceramic mushrooms, painted perspex diamonds which are strung across the trees like celebration bunting & beautiful fused glass placed around the garden adding sparkle & unique decoration.

 

2012

HERRONSWOOD PRIMARY SCHOOL, KIDDERMINSTER, WORCESTERSHIRE.

Diamond Jubilee & Olympic themed hand made tiles. Designed & made by children at Heronswood Primary School to celebrate these two very exiting events which took place this year. The mural also includes three medals with the initials of three members of staff who retired in July.

2012

EDGAR STAMMERS & BIRCHILLS C OF E PRIMARY SCHOOLS

Olympic Ceramic Murals.
This project started as a community cohesion pen pal project with two very different schools in Walsall. The ceramic murals were designed & made by the children in just two days!
The end of the project was celebrated at Walsall town hall in early July 2012, with both artworks being unveiled by the Mayor of Walsall, Councillor Dennis Anson.

2011

ST MARY'S C OF E VC PRIMARY SCHOOL, KINGSWINFORD, WEST MIDLANDS.

Multicultural Peace Garden.
During 2011 the children created many individual artworks to decorate the garden, The centre piece is a very large rainbow world made of hand made ceramic tiles. Large polycarbonate sheets were painted to create an attractive welcome window entrance whilst fused glass pendants & tiles illuminate in the sunshine. I constructed the shelter which has many solar powered stars just under the eves which come alive at dusk. The garden is improving year on year with thanks to the gardening club & new additions.

 

2010

ST MARY'S C OF E VC PRIMARY SCHOOL, KINGSWINFORD, WEST MIDLANDS.

Sarah was commissioned to create a large scale illuminating cross which is now situated in the main school hall. Each child at the school designed a cross they felt best represented the village of Kingswinford. The final outcome was a great success giving the hall an illumiating and meaningful feature. A large metal frame held sheets of polycarbonate which were intricately decorated using permanent glass paints,applied by hand by Sarah but still incorporating the essence of the children’s designs. The polycarbonate was edged with oak strips to mimic the idea of a wooden cross. The cross, received a formal blessing by Bishop John Inge of Dudley & Worcester on 22nd March 2010.

 

2008

BROOK PRIMARY SCHOOL, WORDSLEY, WEST MIDLANDS.

Sarah worked as artist in residence in 2008 to create a welcome arch to the schools community garden. Each child at the school helped to create and paint a ceramic tile which attached to a hard wood frame.

 

2007

RUSSELL HALL HOSPITAL, CHILDREN'S WARD, DUDLEY, WEST MIDLANDS.

Land of two moons.
In 2007 Sarah was commissioned to create a unique child freindly art piece for the main coridoor in the children's ward. A nature themed diorama was created with a variety of materials and filled with ceramic creatures inspired by the pre-historic and futuristic.

 

2007

During 2007 Sarah spent a number of months as artist in residence working with the Thursday group at the Thomas Pocklingtons day centre, a charity for visualy impaired adults. A large scale three dimentional window was created using a wide variety of materials to reflect the continuing legacy of Ernest Stevens a beneficiary of Stourbridge. Funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund.

 

DARTMOUTH PARK, WEST BROMWICH, WEST MIDLANDS.

Moon chaser Parade.
During October 2007 Sarah worked alongside a group of artists from Collective Arts Noise 'CAN' and large groups of 10-18 year olds from the sandwell area. Together we built large-scale sculptures, suns, moons, stars and lanterns that were illuminated with electric lights and candles. The parade travelled through the streets from West Bromwich town centre to Dartmouth Park as part of the bonfire celebrations on November 3rd.

 

ROBERTS PRIMARY SCHOOL, GORNAL, WEST MIDLANDS

Nature Scene.
Large scale, 2m x 1m three dimentional scene created by KS1 children from mod-roc and wire. It now hangs in the entance the the school.

 

AMBLECOTE PRIMARY SCHOOL, WEST MIDLANDS

WELCOME.
Sarah worked with KS2 children during arts week to create a large Welcome sign for the school entrance, each A4 sized tile is covered in vibrantly coloured mini beasts.
